I have lurked around here for a long time and posted an occasional comment but never had the nerve to attempt a diary until I received an email the other day that pissed me off so much that I decided to give it a try.  This is my maiden effort so please be gentle.

I have a friend and former co worker who has been a proud dittohead since el Rushbo first began polluting the airwaves in our area.  We've kidded each other for years about our political differences.  I'm on his list for all those idiotic right wing emails he forwards that I usually delete without reading.  I didn't get a chance to delete his last forward because it was a photoshop that immediately caught my eye and finally sent me over the top.

It was a photoshop image of Sarah Palin sitting in a chair and having her shoes shined by a bedraggled shoeshine boy on his knees whose head was a profile of Barack Obama. The subject line read "Best Altered Photo".

I finally snapped.

Our friendship is over.  I sent him a reply telling him that anyone who thought it was funny could only be a racist asshole and that I wanted to be deleted from his mailing list.  He sent a reply the next day that I have yet to open and will probably delete because I want no further communication with this moron.

There's no more joking around.  My friend the dittohead represents all that is wrong with this country.  He promotes a political system that has done everything in its power to drag a once great nation ever downward into the muck in which we now wallow.

No more filthy racist smears and dirty lies.

No more dirty tricks and shameless schemes intended to sow discord, steal our votes and peel away our Constitutional rights.

No more fascistic ploys that fatten the coffers of the TRUE elitists at the expense of the rapidly dwindling middle class.

I hope to see my friend and his ilk beaten into the ground for generations next month so that we can finally have our country back!

UPDATE; Wow!  My first diary made the Rec List!!  I don't know what to say!  I'm verklempt.  Talk among yourselves.....

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
